**Job Description**
The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, established in 2002, is seeking a Research Fellow. This role involves joining a new research group focused on using CRISPR functional genomics and stem-cell-derived organoids to explore human brain development and evolution. This position offers a unique opportunity to co-develop an independent project utilizing cutting-edge experimental tools, with direct mentorship and support provided for launching a scientific program potentially leading to a future faculty role. The lab is particularly interested in applicants with experience in various organoid systems or ambitious ideas that expand the lab’s current focus.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong wet-lab experience and comfort working in an experimental biology setting
• Demonstrated capacity to drive a scientific project forward, through uncertainty, iteration, and technical challenge
• Intellectual creativity paired with the persistence to see ambitious ideas through to execution
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience in organoid systems beyond the cerebral cortex, or with research questions that complement and extend the lab’s focus
• Comfortable generating and interpreting biological data at the bench (not a computational-only role)
