**Job Description**
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Medicine – Infectious Disease Department within the New Jersey Medical School. This role involves performing data management and programming tasks, including using SAS programming language for quality assurance of collected clinical, laboratory, and demographic data. The assistant will also utilize Tableau software for creating and maintaining dashboards, conduct routine data management for international sites, and assist with manuscript development, proposal preparation, and other scientific activities.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency with SAS/R programming language
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (Word processing, Excel)
• Proficiency with online searching and email
• Fluency with learning new software applications
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet time deadlines
• Self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently
• Flexibility to work in a collaborative environment
• Understanding of biostatistics and epidemiology (Preferred)
• Basic understanding of data management in clinical research (Preferred)
• Experience working in other software platforms relevant to clinical research (FreezerPro, Tableau, REDCap, SAS, R, Microsoft Office, and internet applications) (Preferred)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Satisfactory completion of High School/Undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies.
