**Job Description**
The Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology (MPIIB) offers a postdoctoral position in Evolutionary Genetics to investigate the evolution of ancient microbial pathogens. The role involves decoding the evolutionary history of pathogens using ancient DNA from human and non-human sources, conducted in a dry lab setting. Projects will analyze newly generated and publicly available genomic datasets using bioinformatic tools, including phylogenetics and methods for inferring signatures of natural selection.
