**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in theoretical physics focused on cavity-coupled quantum dots, an interdisciplinary area spanning quantum transport, quantum optics, and quantum thermodynamics, highly relevant for emerging quantum technologies. The selected candidate will collaborate with theoretical and experimental physicists at Chalmers and international partners in the FLAG-ERA project ThinQ, contribute personal research ideas, and supervise PhD students. The project specifically investigates terahertz quantum sensing with bilayer graphene quantum dots in resonators and explores thermodynamic properties of cavity-coupled quantum-dot systems.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong interest in the theoretical analysis of nanoscale and quantum devices, at the interface of quantum transport, quantum optics, and thermodynamics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in theory of quantum transport or quantum optics
• Self-propelled with a strong driving force to pursue excellent theoretical research in a collaborative environment
• Somewhat accustomed to teaching, and to demonstrate good potential within research and education
• Initiative and the ability to contribute with original research ideas within the project
• Experience in both quantum transport and quantum optics (strengthens application)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Theoretical Physics or similar field

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Doctoral degree awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline
Other:
• Exceptions to the three-year eligibility limit may be made for documented circumstances such as parental leave, sick leave, or military service.
