**Job Description**
This position involves supporting exciting research with ultracold atoms and trapped ions within the Quantum Gases & Quantum Information (QG&QI) cluster at the University of Amsterdam’s Institute of Physics. The Research Assistant will provide high-level continuity and expertise, offering hands-on support in the lab to MSc students, PhD, and postdoctoral researchers, particularly in building new laser systems, managing ultracold atom experimental setups, and maintaining laboratory infrastructure.

• Physics
• Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics
• A relevant field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Demonstrable experience of laser systems and optics and/or experience gained in a research setting in atomic, molecular and optical physics.
Other:
• EU-citizen (including Norway and Switzerland) required due to Dutch legislation for this vacancy.
