**Job Description**
The Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences (MPI CBS) offers a PhD position or Doctoral Candidate role in computational neuroscience. This position is part of an international collaboration focused on testing computational models of episodic and spatial memory by integrating human intracranial electrophysiology. The successful candidate will contribute to understanding computational and neural mechanisms of cognitive maps, spatial, and episodic memory, and navigation, working within a four-lab international effort.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Outstanding records in neuroscience or adjacent areas
• Strong quantitative background
• Excellent programming skills (Python, Matlab)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Neuroscience
• Physics
• Mathematics
• Electrical Engineering
