**Job Description**
This Visiting Researcher position at Rutgers’ Child Health Institute involves conducting and analyzing experiments focused on the development and function of novel immune cells, particularly innate immune cells in vital tissues such as the lung and brain. The research explores how the interaction between immune and non-immune cells influences disease outcomes in airway and brain disorders. The role requires experience with rodent models and a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques. The successful candidate will participate in lab meetings, prepare manuscripts, aid in grant applications, and apply for personal grant funding, while also assisting in student training.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong interests in exploring novel immune cells and the mechanisms of human health and disease.
• Experience in conducting and analyzing scientific experiments involving rodent models.
• Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques (genotyping, survival surgery, histology, microscopy, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, or coding).
• Must have written and published scientific articles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, creative, and interactive.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and perform laboratory research.
• Must pass employee health clearance, TB Test and required safety training.
• Must follow all safety precautions in laboratory.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• PhD
• DVM
• MD
• Related field
