**Job Description**
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct research at the Child Health Institute of NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of experiments focused on the molecular mechanisms regulating synaptic transmission in the mammalian brain and human neurons. The role involves participating in lab meetings, seminars, and conferences, preparing manuscripts, assisting with grant applications, and training students. This position emphasizes career development, offering training in experimental design and presentation skills with support from the PI and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong background in neuroscience and/or cell biology
• Ability to perform molecular, cellular, and/or electro-physiological experiments
• Expertise in cell culture techniques
• Proficiency in biochemistry
• Experience with cell imaging techniques

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Neuroscience
• relevant biological sciences

Other:
• Prior experience with cell culture, biochemistry, and cell imaging techniques are required
