**Job Description**
The successful candidate will contribute to the research efforts of the UNSW Law & Justice Faculty, specifically within the School of Private & Commercial Law. This role involves undertaking independent and/or team research on Scientia Professor Ross Buckley’s Australian Research Council (ARC) Laureate Research Program, titled “The Financial Data Revolution: Seizing the Benefits, Controlling the Risks.” The position is open to candidates with experience suitable for Level A, Level B, or up to Level C (step 1).

• Strong research capacity and experience in exploring the interactions between law and policy.
• Ability to conduct independent research, including qualitative and empirical studies.
• Track record of high-quality publications and conference presentations.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Commitment to staying up to date with discipline developments (for Level B and C1).
• Track record of high-quality outcomes in research (for Level B and C1).
• Clear evidence of the desire and ability to achieve research excellence (for Level B and C1).
• Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships (for Level B and C1).
• Significant involvement with the profession and/or industry (desirable for Level B and C1).

• Law
• Economics
• Finance
• Political Science
• Related field
**Experience**
Other:
• Equivalent research and/or professional experience (e.g., working as a banking and finance or technology lawyer)
• Demonstrated experience relevant to Level A, Level B, or up to Level C (step 1) academic positions.
