The Postdoctoral Research Associate will join a multidisciplinary research team focusing on cognitive aging and health disparities among minority populations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced research at the intersection of neurodegeneration, cognition, vascular risk factors, and diabetes, with a specific emphasis on underrepresented groups such as Native American populations, individuals with Down syndrome, and minoritized aging cohorts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ongoing and developing studies that investigate the interplay between longitudinal cognitive outcomes, metabolic, and vascular risk factors.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python) for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate research findings to both academic and non-academic audiences.
• Proficiency with standard office and data tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, reference managers, etc.).
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Must have at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
• Desirable: Experience working with neuroimaging.
• Desirable: Specific experience with Native American communities, individuals with Down syndrome, or populations at risk for diabetes.
