**Job Description**
An opportunity exists for a highly motivated Research Associate/Fellow to join a new EPSRC-funded £7m programme focused on Sustainable Multi Sector Electrification Using Advanced Integrated Motor Drive Technologies. The role involves undertaking radical innovation based on highly integrated electric motor drive technologies to reduce energy wastage and material usage, while improving power to weight and volume ratios and increasing service life. The successful candidate will lead and deliver individual and collaborative research, making a key contribution to the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Institute’s programmes and developing innovative modular power converter topologies and control for integrated motor drives. Support will be provided for creating and submitting research development proposals and funding bids.

• Significant prior experience of low-level programming of embedded C++ in Infineon Tricore based microcontrollers
• Significant prior experience of power converter topologies
• Consistent track record of published research in reviewed publications
• Prior direct experience of successful PhD student co-supervision/mentoring (desirable)
