**Job Description**
The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a Research Fellow to join a new group focused on human brain development and evolution. The role involves using CRISPR functional genomics and stem-cell-derived organoids to explore these areas. This opportunity offers direct mentorship, support, and the chance to co-develop an independent project using cutting-edge experimental tools, with the goal of preparing the candidate for a future faculty role. Applicants with experience in various organoid systems or ambitious research ideas extending the lab’s focus are highly encouraged.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong wet-lab experience and comfort working in an experimental biology setting
• Demonstrated capacity to drive a scientific project forward, through uncertainty, iteration, and technical challenge
• Intellectual creativity paired with the persistence to see ambitious ideas through to execution
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience in organoid systems beyond the cerebral cortex is encouraged
• Comfortable generating and interpreting biological data at the bench

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Life sciences
• Biomedical sciences
• Developmental biology
• Neuroscience
• A related field
