**Job Description**
The Roy Wilkins Center is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to quantitative analyses of racial and ethnic economic inequality. This position involves working with research teams on existing projects focused on drowning disparities, health inequities, and racial disparities in cannabis business ownership.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Programming experience (preferred): SAS, R, STATA, and Python
• Cross-cultural competency and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
• Creativity, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, manage deadlines, and acquire new skills and areas of expertise
• Familiarity with the social justice goals of the Roy Wilkins Center

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Economics
Other:
• Experience with econometric tools of analysis
• Eligibility for certification using restricted CDC data sets
• Experience conducting public policy research
• Research interests related to social justice and disparate impacts of public policy
