Postdoctoral Research Associate

A newly established laboratory of Dr. Yao Wei Lu at USC’s Keck School of Medicine is recruiting Postdoctoral Research Associates to study gene regulation that dictates cell fates and states in development and diseases. The lab specifically applies cutting-edge molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to understand post-transcriptional gene regulatory mechanisms in cardiovascular development, regeneration, and diseases. This position is suited for qualified candidates wishing to pursue a career in basic and translational research within cardiovascular biology.

• Track record of productivity as demonstrated by at least one first-author peer-reviewed publication
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in written and oral English communication
• Strong background in cell/molecular/developmental biology, mouse genetics, human induced pluripotent stem cells, and related biomedical science fields
• Advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, and analysis methods in research specialization

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within the previous three years

• 0-1 year
Other:
• Directly related education in research specialization
• Mouse genetics, molecular biology, and related biomedical science fields (Preferred)
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals in the same or related field (Preferred)
