**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Researcher position focuses on investigating stromal-epithelial crosstalk in colorectal cancer (CRC) initiation, progression, and therapy resistance. The role involves defining how fibroblasts transition into cancer-associated fibroblast (CAF) subtypes and their regulation of epithelial plasticity and immune responses, utilizing techniques such as single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, advanced co-culture organoid assays, and in vivo models. The successful candidate will apply innovative bioinformatics approaches to human-relevant models and patient-derived tissue cohorts to dissect the tumor ecosystem, profiling phenotypic and functional heterogeneity, lineage plasticity, and evolutionary dynamics of epithelial cells, CAFs, and immune cells.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong computational background with proficiency in R and at least one additional scripting language
• Solid knowledge of biostatistics
• Experience with single-cell sequencing data and preferentially with spatial omics
• Working in high-performance computing environments is highly preferred
• Good understanding of cancer biology, immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology is required
• Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required
