**Job Description**
This Postdoc position focuses on genome maintenance research, aiming to uncover new molecular pathways that resolve alternative DNA conformations (such as G-quadruplexes, hairpins, cruciforms, and triplexes) which can obstruct DNA replication and trigger genome instability. The project will utilize the Xenopus egg extract system to dissect mechanisms and identify proteins involved, combining state-of-the-art biochemistry with cell biology, mass spectrometry, and high-throughput sequencing. The research seeks to reveal how these structures influence cells and genomes, contributing to understanding neurological disorders and cancer.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Highly motivated and independent scientist
• Strong collaborative spirit
• Passion for working in an international research environment
• Solid background in protein biochemistry (essential)
• Experience in cell biology or bioinformatics (advantageous)
