**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position at Chalmers University of Technology focuses on securing large-scale distributed AI systems against network-based threats. The research will explore network attack surfaces in distributed AI, assess their impact on system reliability and trustworthiness, and develop cross-layer defenses that ensure both scalable efficiency and robust security in next-generation AI infrastructures. The project aims to design resilient architectures and protocols combining network-level protections with AI- and system-level adaptivity, systematically modeling adversarial capabilities, developing proactive mitigation strategies, and evaluating their effectiveness in large-scale experimental settings.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong experience with distributed AI, demonstrated via a strong publication record.
• Ability to develop systems using programming languages like Python or C/C++.
• Familiarity with networking and security protocols (a plus).
• Somewhat accustomed to teaching.
• Demonstrate good potential within research and education.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Computer science
• PhD or equivalent (awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline, with exceptions for documented circumstances)
