**Job Description**
The Visiting Researcher will be responsible for performing and analyzing experiments focused on the development and function of novel immune cells, particularly innate immune cells in vital tissues like the lung and brain. This role explores the interaction between immune and non-immune cells and their influence on airway and brain disorders. The position requires experience in conducting and analyzing scientific experiments using rodent models and molecular and cellular biology techniques. Key responsibilities also include maintaining a mouse colony, assisting with ongoing research projects, ordering lab supplies, participating in lab meetings and seminars, preparing manuscripts, aiding in grant applications, and pursuing personal grant funding.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience in conducting and analyzing scientific experiments involving rodent models.
• Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as genotyping, survival surgery, histology, microscopy, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, or coding.
• Strong interests in exploring novel immune cells and the mechanisms of human health and disease.
• Written and published scientific articles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, creative, and interactive.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Immunology
• Cell Biology
• Neuroscience
• Biomedical Sciences
• Medicine (MD)
• Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
