**Job Description**
This Post-Doctoral Fellow position is for an environmental scientist focusing on developing novel biodegradation methods for polymers. The role involves designing and executing biodegradation experiments tailored to evaluate polymer biodegradability in various environmental compartments, in collaboration with scientists at the University of Cincinnati and Procter & Gamble.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Solid understanding of chemical Phys/chem properties.
• Strong experimental design and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to engage in necessary job performance trainings such as safety, data analysis, and quality control.
• Strong “wet lab” skills, hands-on laboratory experience on biodegradation studies (preferred).
• Experience with Environmental analytical chemistry and measurement tools (a plus).
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to critically evaluate complex data sets and apply new approaches to solve complex environmental testing questions.
• Team player with a “Roll up your sleeves” attitude, able to partner with a multi-functional team to define and execute against experimental requirements.
• Excellent adaptability and flexibility.
• Excellent learning capabilities with an open mindset.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Environmental science (including environmental engineering, environmental chemistry)
• Chemical engineering
• Analytical chemistry
• Closely related areas
**Experience**
Other:
