**Job Description**
The SahaCVRC is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to work in Dr. Congqing Wu’s lab. The lab focuses on how the immune system defends and harms the body, investigating inflammasome-activated pyroptosis and its role in releasing tissue factor positive microvesicles that trigger coagulation and drive pathology in infection and sterile inflammation using in vivo models. The research combines molecular biology, in vivo models, and data science approaches to study the role of immune response and clotting in diseases with vascular pathology, such as sepsis, aortic dissection, and fibrosis. The Postdoctoral Scholar will engage in research, data analysis, and publications, supported by new R01 funding.

• Experience performing experiments, analyzing data, and assisting in the dissemination of results through abstracts and papers.
Other:
• Moving and lifting objects from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds
• Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time
• Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy
