**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Research Associate position is part of ‘The Digital Labour of Covid-19 Volunteerism’ project, led by Dr Tarangini Sriraman. The project explores the politics of digital health work undertaken by Covid-19 volunteers in contemporary India through an oral history-driven approach. The appointed person will use Digital Humanities methods to analyze and visualize qualitative narratives concerning pandemic relief work, including social media use, online vaccination, and digital surveillance. Key research objectives include evaluating the politics of digital relief responses, the role of gender, caste, and class in shaping access to digital health infrastructures, the contemporary legacy of pandemic-driven digital health work, and the impact of India’s global claims in digital health on grassroots health work.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Familiarity with Digital Humanities methods, including but not limited to coding, data scraping, archiving, data visualization, relational databases, or digital storytelling
• Ability to demonstrate the utility of these methods for studying unequal forms of Covid-19 health work
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D.
**Experience**
Other:
• Experience in applying Digital Humanities methods for qualitative narrative analysis
• Experience in conducting fieldwork
