Doctoral Scholarship Holder

**Job Description**
The University of Antwerp’s Department of Chemistry is seeking a full-time doctoral scholarship holder to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemistry. The role involves actively preparing and defending a Ph.D. thesis, conducting research, publishing scientific articles, and carrying out teaching, research, and service support tasks within the department.

• Motivated and committed to a doctoral project
• Willingness to apply for an external funded fellowship (e.g., FWO fellowships 2026)
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation
• Pronounced interest in the research of one of the research groups of the Chemistry department at the University of Antwerp

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemistry
• Bio-engineering (with specialization in chemistry)
• Applied sciences (engineering) (with specialization in chemistry)
• Civil engineering (with specialization in chemistry)
