**Job Description**
The Rutgers Cancer Institute is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant within the Pediatric Population Science Department to support lab research activities. The lab’s primary aim is to enhance psychosocial outcomes for youth and families, including siblings, affected by pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease. Current projects involve developing and testing web-based single-session interventions for adolescent siblings of cancer patients, engaging community advisory boards, utilizing mixed methods for research, and conducting systematic and scoping reviews on psychosocial interventions. The assistant will be involved in various research tasks, including data collection, management, and analysis, and may contribute to drafting reports for manuscripts and grant proposals.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effective oral and communication skills.
• Computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• At least one year of experience in behavioral science research (preferred).
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Psychology
• Public Health
• Other life/medical science related fields
