**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Northeastern University focuses on preclinical drug discovery and development. The candidate will work in the Thakur Lab within the Bouve College of Health Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, to develop GPCR allosteric modulators and ligand-gated ion channels for the treatment of various diseases including neuropathic pain, glaucoma, substance use disorder, and epilepsy.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills in organic and medicinal chemistry.
• Strong scientific knowledge.
• Broad understanding of GPCR and LGIC signaling.
• Proficiency in plotting and interpretation of data, ADME, LC-MS.
• Ability to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations for both internal and external meetings.
• Hands-on experience in GPCR signaling assays (plus).
• Hands-on experience in electrophysiology assays (plus).
• Hands-on experience in in-vitro/in vivo ADME/PK evaluation (plus).
• Hands-on experience in computational drug discovery (plus).
• Strong publication record in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Organic Chemistry

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 1-3 years (Ph.D.) of relevant research experience
