POST-DOCTORAL AND DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS TO THE RESTART PROJECT

**Job Description**
The Faculty of Science at the University of Helsinki is seeking POST-DOCTORAL AND DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS to contribute to the RESTART project. This initiative aims to investigate the future urban chemical cocktail by integrating state-of-the-art molecular-level simulations of novel aerosol-forming organic compounds, automated reaction mechanism generators, and high-resolution local scale air quality modeling. Researchers will be part of the computational aerosol physics and urban meteorology groups at INAR, focusing on understanding cluster and particle formation for atmospherically relevant molecules, as well as studying urban atmosphere, air quality, and greenhouse gas cycles.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Good programming skills and interested in code development
• Excellent skills in spoken and written English
• Research interests close to the project scope (merit)
• Prior experience of computational chemistry, physics and meteorology (merit)

Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Meteorology

• For doctoral researcher position: either already hold the right to pursue a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki by the start of the appointment or apply for and obtain it within the trial period of six months of their appointment.
