**Job Description**
Join a research project focused on shaping the future of 6G networks by developing agentic AI solutions for autonomous configuration and deployment of 6G and edge-cloud functions, utilizing digital twins and advanced validation techniques. This position involves close collaboration with leading Swedish industry partners in 6G and cloud computing, bridging academic research with real-world applications within the Optical Networks (ON) Unit’s world-leading research environment. The project “Agentic AI for self-deployable 6G networks in the edge continuum (EC-DEPLOY-6G)” specifically pioneers the use of large language model-driven agents for autonomous configuration and deployment.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Familiarity with edge-cloud environments and virtualization/containerization platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenStack)
• Ability and motivation to carry out high-quality research and development
• Excellent programming skills, with demonstrated ability to develop research-oriented software
• Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Science
• Telecommunications
• A closely related field (awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline)

**Experience**
Other:
• Proven ability to apply AI/ML methods to the management and operation of communication infrastructures, including configuration and performance assessment
• Experience in designing, implementing, and executing experimental demonstrations and proof-of-concept systems
• Strong track record of publications in leading Q1 journals and top-tier international conferences
• Experience with digital twin environments for testing and validation
