**Job Description**
The Dr. Dasgupta’s lab focuses on elucidating novel targets and therapies for pancreatic cancer-associated muscle wasting and studying tumor-host crosstalk. This is a fully funded, 3-year postdoctoral position designed to prepare the appointee for an academic or research career, involving substantially full-time research under the supervision of a faculty member. The role involves developing advanced research skills and contributing to ongoing projects within the lab.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Exercise scientific judgment daily
• Evaluate incoming information through experimental data and observations, written literature documentation, and oral communications
• Experience in basic molecular biology techniques (such as western blot, qPCR etc.)
• Experience in cell culture
• Experience in tumor biology and/or muscle biology (preferred)
• Experience in mouse handling (preferred; training provided if required for in vivo work)
• Knowledge familiarity with the PI’s work
• Ability to generate own ideas to take projects further
**Qualifications**
A Ph.D. degree or equivalent (e.g., M.D., Sc.D.)
