**Job Description**
This Ph.D. project focuses on understanding neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC), a newly characterized and aggressive form of prostate cancer that evades AR-targeted treatments. The research will build upon existing datasets from a comprehensive discovery experiment using RIME to identify proteins interacting with neuronal transcription factors like Ascl1, which are important drivers in NEPC. The project aims to functionally characterize identified protein candidates using genomic, proteomic, and molecular approaches to decipher their contribution to NEPC progression and explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Ultimately, the goal is to understand the transition from adenocarcinoma to NEPC and investigate possibilities of reversing this transition.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in genomic, proteomic, and molecular approaches
• Ability to conduct detailed functional characterization of proteins
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• A relevant subject (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics)
