**Job Description**
The Water Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to develop calix[n]arene-based covalent organic frameworks for water purification, under the supervision of Professor Ali Trabolsi. The successful candidate will explore macrocycle-based porous frameworks for water contaminant removal, focusing on the directed synthesis of organic macrocycle containing linkers and porous frameworks, and investigating their supramolecular interactions with various organic pollutants. The role requires knowledge in the design, synthesis, and characterization of porous frameworks.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Knowledge in the design and synthesis of porous frameworks
• Experience in techniques such as Schlenk line, glove box, powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction, electron microscopy, and porosity analysis
• Excellent experimental and synthetic skills relevant to the project, particularly in the synthesis of covalent organic frameworks
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemistry
• Materials Science

Other:
• Experience in the application of such materials to water treatment is preferred.
