Behavioral Science Professional Research Assistant (PRA) Level 1-35197Research FacultyDescriptionUniversity of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: CSPH-HSMP General OpsJob Title: Behavioral Science Professional Research Assistant (PRA) Level 1Position #:00828093 – Requisition #:35197Job Summary:ThePopulation Health Shared Resource (PHSR) – Behavioral Science Component at the University of Colorado Cancer Center has an opening for a full-time Behavioral Science Professional Research Assistant (PRA) – Level 1 who has experience with research project coordination, participant recruitment, qualitative research approaches, and survey methodology. PHSR – Behavioral Science Component supports research that involvespatient and community-focused methods such as qualitative methods (e.g., individual interviews and focus groups), survey design, accrual and data collection in clinic and community settings, medical record review and extraction, psychometrics, and participatory research.The position will assist with general project coordination needs, patient recruitment, and other duties as determined by study investigators.This position will also work in clinical cancer and community-based settings tosupport qualitative data collection, coding, and possibly survey development, regulatory needs, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience with behavioral research study management, patient recruitment and retention, especially among Spanish-speaking populations, qualitative data collection and coding, mixed methods research, working on interdisciplinary teams, and experience with supporting institutional review board protocol development for behavioral research studies.Key Responsibilities:Data collection activities with a variety of individuals (e.g., patients, caregivers/family members, clinicians/staff, and community members) including:Recruiting, consenting, and compensating study participants, specifically Spanish-speaking participantsEngaging with community partner groupsConducting and leading qualitative interviews/focus groupsProject coordination, including scheduling and attending meetings with project investigators and staffData management, including both qualitative and quantitative dataAssisting with institutional review board applications, amendments, and continuing review of documents for study projects and other cancer center research regulatory processes like the protocol review and monitoring systemAssisting with data analysis tasks, including coding, codebook development, reporting and summarizing, and running of queries in ATLAS.ti© or other softwareEditing manuscripts for journal format requirements and submitting manuscripts or reports for publication in conjunction with investigatorsAssisting in poster and presentation formatting and design for conference presentationsProgramming and survey development in REDCapWork LocationWhy Join Us:Hybrid– this role is eligible for a hybrid scheduleof 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.The Colorado School of Public Health is a collaborative endeavor involving the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz), Colorado State University (CSU), and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC).
