**Job Description**
This role supports the administration team within the Division of Population Health and Neuroscience (School of Medicine and Population Health), ensuring smooth service operation for staff, students, and visitors. As a core member of the operations team, the apprentice will perform diverse administrative tasks, follow processes, and provide reception cover. The position also includes engagement in on-the-job and off-the-job learning and development activities as part of the apprenticeship program.

• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office, Google Apps, email, and the internet.

• Ability to work on own initiative, methodically and accurately.
• Awareness of how to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately and in line with Data Protection legislation.

• Ability to deal effectively with people to resolve problems, referring more complex issues to senior colleagues where appropriate.
• Willingness to learn how to follow procedures and prioritise and manage own workload on a day-to-day basis, with a flexible approach to work.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• A minimum of five GCSE grades A*-C or Grade 4-9 including English and Mathematics.
Other:
• Must be eligible for funding through the Apprenticeship Levy, meeting criteria outlined by the Government.
• Existing experience must be substantially different to the Business Administration apprenticeship such that on completion, a new set of skills will be developed.
• Existing qualifications must be at a lower level than NVQ Level 3 unless the training content is materially different.
• Self-motivated and keen to learn, with a commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme and engaging in all on and off-the-job training and development activities.
