**Job Description**
The Business Researcher I contributes to the planning and design of business research and creative projects, performing supporting research and creative activities such as data analysis, monitoring outcomes, and potentially assisting with project goals, proposals, and dissemination of findings. The role involves using knowledge of complex economic systems to redevelop, maintain, and enhance the proprietary CBER web application, Alabama Economy Online, and developing/maintaining economic models and databanks. Responsibilities also include conceptualizing and incorporating changes in state economic systems into forecasting models, interacting with external contacts to communicate economic insights, and potentially undertaking project-specific supervisory duties within a team environment.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Economics
• Statistics
• Business-related field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Two (2) years (Bachelor’s degree)
• Some experience (Master’s degree or higher)
Other:
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation and review of information from social media and other internet sources.
