**Job Description**
This full-time Clinical Research Fellow position, with an initial 12-month term and potential extension to 2 years, is for an individual pursuing an MD with The University of Manchester. The role involves supporting an experimental medicine study, funded by a Wellcome grant and hosted by The University of Edinburgh, embedded within the Respiratory theme of the Manchester BRC. The study focuses on investigating new technology to identify bacteria in the lungs of critically ill adult patients with suspected ventilator-associated pneumonia. The successful candidate will provide medical support for these studies, including bronchoscopic sampling, and should ideally possess experience in critical care, respiratory medicine, and/or relevant research.
