**Job Description**
This collaborative doctoral project aims to accelerate the development of advanced materials by combining high-throughput experimental and AI approaches. It addresses the challenges of traditional, slow, and inefficient trial-and-error methods in materials design. The project will establish a data-driven, experimentally grounded workflow for rapid microstructure-property optimization in steels, bridging the expertise of the Institute of Advanced Simulation (IAS-9) and the Institute of Energy Materials and Devices (IMD-1) at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
**Skills & Abilities**
• In-depth practical experience in at least one programming language (preferably Python)
