**Job Description**
The Counselor will provide individual therapy, crisis intervention, and group therapy to undergraduate and graduate students within the University Counseling Center. This is a one-year post-doctoral position focusing on clinical services, outreach, and staff participation, with supervision provided toward licensure.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Skills necessary to complete intakes, create treatment plans, and implement short term psychotherapy and group therapy with undergraduate and graduate students
• Skills to complete a suicide assessment and to be involved in crisis intervention
• Proficiency in the treatment model used, with preferred familiarity with more than one treatment modality (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy)
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Counseling
• Clinical Psychology
**Experience**
Other:
• Pre-doctoral internship completed prior to start date
• All coursework towards degree in counseling or clinical psychology completed
• Applicants working on the completion of a doctoral dissertation will be considered
• Prior experience working in college counseling centers preferred
• Interest and experience in an area of specialty (e.g., eating disorders, substance abuse, women’s issues, trauma) preferred
• Interest in positive psychology and designing/implementing campus programs preferred
