**Job Description**
This Ph.D. position, part of the NWO-funded FLASH project, involves extensive field-based research on housing and infrastructure policies in urban informal settlements within Bangladesh’s climate-vulnerable South-Western delta region. The junior researcher, based at Khulna University, will utilize a Living Lab approach to engage with local communities, planning bodies, service providers, and policymakers to co-create climate-resilient solutions. The role entails leading individual Ph.D. research aligned with project objectives, contributing to a Living Lab design, analyzing settlement typologies, investigating policy and governance roles, exploring resident-led initiatives, translating research into practical outputs, and publishing scholarly work. The research activities will span four years with strong engagement in the field and close collaboration with stakeholders and academic partners.
