The Ph.D. researcher will conduct fundamental research on active sensing “at scale” to enhance the applicability of event-vision sensors in robotic control tasks. This role involves participating in the ELEVATE consortium, adhering to a doctoral training program, and potentially assisting in Master thesis supervision and teaching. The position offers an international research environment at the forefront of neuromorphic control engineering.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Solid mathematical background (e.g., in control theory and optimization).
• Specialized courses in at least one of: advanced control design, event-based systems, active sensing, neuromorphic engineering, vision for robotics.
• Research experience (e.g., through Master thesis work or research internships) in control theory or event-camera sensing (considered a strong asset).
• Experience with scientific computing in Matlab, Python, or Julia.
• Excellent proficiency in the English language.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) – Master Degree
