**Job Description**
A Ph.D. position is available to quantify lithium partitioning between rock-forming minerals and silicate melt to support exploration efforts for energy-critical metals. The research will involve exploring the geochemical behavior of lithium in the Earth’s crust as a function of composition, temperature, pressure, and oxygen fugacity, focusing on understanding and quantifying controls on its mobilization, concentration, and trapping to form pegmatite ore bodies. The project will utilize high-pressure high-temperature experimental equipment and world-leading analytical facilities at Utrecht University.
