**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a collaborative research program within the VIB-Center for Inflammation Research. The project focuses on developing and applying algorithms to link clinical phenotypes of metastasis to molecular phenotypes in mouse models. The role involves dissecting the drivers of spatial growth patterns in metastases, correlating them with therapy efficiencies and survival, and utilizing high-resolution spatial omics techniques to prioritize molecular factors driving immune cell states. These factors will then be validated through in vivo screening to confirm their role in aberrant states and growth patterns. The candidate will work in an interdisciplinary environment, embedded within both experimental and computational teams.
**Skills & Abilities**
Interest in linking digital pathology with mechanistic experimental biology
 Programming experience in Python
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
Collaborative personality with attention for detail
Experience in imaging or spatial omics data analysis
Background in biomedicine and digital pathology
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
