This Ph.D. position focuses on the creative design of next-generation polymers and coatings for cutting-edge low-temperature fuel cells. The project aims to replace environmentally hazardous fluorinated polymers (PFAS) by pioneering new strategies using advanced grafting techniques to tailor liquid repellency and proton conductivity on conductive surfaces. Responsibilities include polymer synthesis, state-of-the-art characterization, and testing materials in realistic fuel cell devices, in close collaboration with industrial partners. This role combines polymer chemistry, surface science, and electrochemistry to develop sustainable materials for clean energy.
