**Job Description**
The PhD candidate will conduct ethnographic research within an ERC-funded project focused on the epistemic value of emotions and bodies in journalism and documentary-making. The project aims to empirically, theoretically, and practically integrate affective and embodied knowledge into media work, involving fieldwork across Central and Eastern Europe and an experiment with nature retreats for media professionals. Responsibilities include theoretical and methodological preparations, independent ethnographic fieldwork, data management and analysis, theory-building, and co-authoring academic articles.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Excellent research skills demonstrated by a Master thesis
• Solid knowledge of qualitative research methods
• Strong cooperative attitude and willingness to engage in collaborative research
• Enthusiasm for communicating academic research to non-academic audiences
• Knowledge of regional media landscape
• Excellent command of English
• Preferably knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Slovak, Hungarian, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Georgian
