**Job Description**
The VIB-Center for Inflammation Research is seeking a motivated PhD candidate or Postdoctoral fellow to join a collaborative research program within the Guilliams and Saelens teams. This project, supported by a Foundation against Cancer, will apply in vivo CRISPR screens to investigate the functional specialization of macrophages during liver metastasis, focusing on the causal circuits driving immunosuppressive tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and their crosstalk with cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs). The selected candidate will leverage state-of-the-art in vivo perturbational technologies and advanced computational modeling within an interdisciplinary team to decode causal circuits controlling TAM and CAF reprogramming.

**Skills & Abilities**
� Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
� A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment
� Experience with highly multiplexed flow cytometry and confocal microscopy
� Experience in single-cell or spatial omics

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
� Bio-engineering
� Medicine
� Molecular biology
� Immunology
� Related fields
Other:
� FELASA certification
