**Job Description**
This PhD project primarily aims to elucidate the mechanobiological influences driving endothelial organ-specification and phenotype, utilizing this knowledge to engineer organ-specific endothelial cells (ECs). The insights gained will be applied to explore experimental approaches for controlling vascularization of engineered tissues and organoids. The researcher will work with human induced pluripotent stem cells, differentiating them towards organ-specific ECs, and developing in vitro approaches and assays to modulate this differentiation process. These experiments will be complemented by computational simulations of mechanobiology-mediated angiogenesis to dissect the contributions of cell signaling and environmental mechanical properties.
