PhD Opportunity – Advanced Microwave Sensor Design for Detection Technologies

**Job Description**
This Ph.D. project, supported by industry leader Codan, aims to develop novel microwave sensor (uWS) designs for integration with or operation alongside metal detectors. The research will enhance detection capabilities for various applications, including detecting subsoil layers, utilities, landmines, IEDs, UAV-based minefield mapping, through-wall detection, advanced sensing for pipe and cable location, and geological mapping.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Suitable experience in electrical engineering, physics, signal processing, or related fields.
• Experience with RF systems, antennas, or embedded electronics will be highly regarded.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Physics
• Signal Processing
• Related fields

**Experience**
Other:
• Demonstrated suitable experience in electrical engineering, physics, signal processing, or related fields.
