**Job Description**
This Ph.D. project at MHQA focuses on addressing underdiagnosed and undertreated respiratory allergies in soldiers to improve military performance and reduce costly evacuations during deployments. Building on pioneering research, the project aims to implement and evaluate allergy screening and treatment strategies in soldiers preparing for deployment. It will also validate a novel, automated skin prick test device (S.P.A.T.) for predicting treatment response, particularly to allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT). This translational research will directly inform military medical policy, contribute to early biomarker development for respiratory allergy treatment success, and combine clinical trials, novel diagnostic technologies, and real-world military applications.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong interest in allergy, immunology, military medicine, or clinical diagnostics.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Motivated to conduct translational and clinical research with direct real-world relevance.
• Critical thinker, proactive, well-organized, and comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams.
