**Job Description**
This PhD position focuses on developing autoantigen-specific cell therapies using synthetic chimeric autoantigen-receptors (sCAARs) as potentially curative interventions for autoimmune conditions. The project, funded by the ZonMW Open Competition, involves a multidisciplinary team of synthetic chemists, immunologists from Leiden University Medical Centre, and computational scientists from TU Delft, aiming to advance precise cellular immunotherapy. The candidate will be trained at both Leiden University and the Leiden University Medical Centre.

Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemical Biology
• Chemistry
• Related discipline combining chemistry and biology

• Experience with (immune) cells, microscopy imaging methods, and/or cell-based assays (highly preferred)
