**Job Description**
This PhD training programme, commencing in September 2026, is led by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and offered by a consortium of UK and African partner institutions. It focuses on global health research addressing health problems in African countries, specifically Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, The Gambia, and Uganda. The programme aims to support practicing health professionals in undertaking rigorous research, developing them into global health leaders within a structured and mentored training environment. This is a Wellcome Trust-funded, fixed-term post, available full-time or part-time, with fellows based at one of the UK partner institutions and undertaking extended periods of fieldwork in Africa.

Required Degree(s) in:

• Right to work in the UK.
• Eligible for home fees.
