**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Fellow position in Dr. Rene Cortese’s Lab at the University of Kansas Medical Center focuses on unraveling the epigenetic mechanisms involved in vascular dysfunction associated with cardiopulmonary complications, with a current emphasis on understanding how Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) contributes to vascular senescence and pulmonary vascular remodeling. This translational research program utilizes a combination of epigenomic, genomic, proteomic, imaging, and physiological techniques in both in vitro and in vivo systems to study epigenetic alterations, influence disease progression, and identify molecular targets for potential therapeutic intervention in pulmonary and vascular tissues.
