**Job Description**
This Post-Doctoral Associate position focuses on advanced research concerning viral infection, placental/fetal development, and the development of viral vector-based vaccines. The role involves maintaining and manipulating human and animal cells/tissues, developing and evaluating experimental animal models of viral infection, and conducting comprehensive experimental investigations. Responsibilities also include the characterization of recombinant viruses, data analysis, preparation of scientific manuscripts and presentations, and providing guidance to laboratory staff.

• Good knowledge in molecular/placental biology, virology, immunology, and vaccinology
• Experience with viral infection of primary cells, cell lines, and animals (mice and guinea pigs)
• Good working knowledge of flow cytometry, immunofluorescence staining and confocal microscopy, RNA/DNA isolation and qPCR, ELISA, western blot, immunoprecipitation, RNA-seq, transfection, gene knockdown/knockout or overexpression
• Experience with immunohistopathology and immunohistochemistry
• Molecular cloning skills
• Cell culturing skills
• Small laboratory animal handling skills
• Prior research experience in molecular biology and laboratory animal handling (preferred)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D.
