Post-doctoral Associate

**Job Description**
The Smart Materials Lab (Panče Naumov Group) at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a post-doctoral associate to focus on crystal structure determination using electron or X-ray crystallography. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently collecting and refining crystal structures, including challenging cases, and will also contribute to other lab projects and supervise students. This position requires expertise in crystallographic techniques, particularly electron diffraction, and a commitment to advanced research in materials science.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Substantial experience in crystallography.
• Expertise in structure solution and refinement of small molecule crystals using either electron or X-ray diffraction techniques.
• Capability of preparing samples, independently collecting data, and solving and refining crystal structures.
• Proficiency in refining structures from electron diffraction data collected using a microscope or specialized equipment (preferred).
• Experience in structure analysis based on powder diffraction, neutron diffraction, or scattering data (considered).

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Materials Science
• Related field (with a focus on crystallography)
